Earlier this week a report was released stating that Lucasfilm had halted development on future Star Wars spin-off movies following the disappointing release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. We’re now learning, however, that these rumours were false and according to ABC News (which is owned by Lucasfilm’s parent company, Disney), Lucasfilm told them that the report was “inaccurate.”
The report from ABC News also states that Lucasfilm is currently developing multiple Star Wars movies that haven’t been officially announced yet. This would seem to suggest that the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett films are still being worked on, as well as more unknown projects. We’ll have to wait and see what the next Star Wars spin-off will be but for now, we’ve got Episode IX to look forward to in 2019.
