CREED II Movies News

The First ‘CREED II’ Trailer Is Here And It’s A Knockout

The first trailer for Creed II has been released, and it's a knockout.

MGM has released the first official trailer for CREED II, which will see Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) step back into the ring for his most personal battle yet. The trailer, which was released online by Michael B. Jordan, gives us our first look at the highly-anticipated sequel, which promises to be as heart-pounding and emotional as the first instalment.

Watch the trailer below:

As someone who loved Creed and would rank it as my favourite boxing movie of all-time, it’s great to see that Sylvester Stallone and new director Steven Caple Jr. are sticking with a similar tone and style to the first film, which was helmed by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. Creed was more than a boxing movie, it was a story about a young man trying to figure out who he is, where he came from and where he’s going, and it looks like Creed II will continue to delve further into that side of the story, while simultaneously delivering another adrenaline-filled boxing movie.

A new synopsis has also been released, which you can read below:

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

CREED II stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Russell Hornsby, Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, Andre Ward, Phylicia Rashad and Dolph Lundgren.

The film will land in theatres on November 21!
