First ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Images Confirm Chris Pine’s Return

Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot have shared some intriguing first look images.

While the DC Extended Universe has struggled to find its feet, it’s impossible to deny that Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman was a thrilling, badass and emotional superhero story, as well as a massive success for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Work is currently underway on the highly-anticipated sequel, and both Jenkins and star Gal Gadot have shared some intriguing first look images online.

Jenkins took to her official Twitter account to reveal the first image, which shows a very alive and very confused Steve Trevor in a 1980’s shopping mall, surrounded by some of the most colourful outfits the superhero genre has ever seen. We’ll probably have to wait until the movie is released to find out how Steve Trevor has made his way back to the world of the living, but it’s exciting to know that Chris Pine is returning for the sequel and it’ll be fun to see Steve as the fish out of water this time around.
