Since the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, fans have wondered if they’ll ever see another standalone Superman movie with Henry Cavill. Of course, Batman v Superman and Justice League both include Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, but he wasn’t the main focus in either of those movies. Thankfully, a new rumour suggests that we’ll finally see another Superman movie and it might be coming sooner rather than later.
According to Revenge of the Fans Editor-in-Chief Mario-Francisco Robles, Warner Bros. is targeting a 2020 release date for a Man of Steel sequel. Robles discussed the subject on the latest episode of El Fanboy Podcast, stating that the studio is moving quickly with the project. While this is certainly exciting, it’s important to note that this isn’t an official announcement and should be regarded as nothing more than a rumour. As far as we know, there is no script for a Man of Steel sequel and Warner Bros. hasn’t hired a director for the project.
