Not many things are worth waking up for on a Monday morning, but a new trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story will undoubtedly do the job. Disney and Lucasfilm just dropped a new trailer for Han Solo’s swashbuckling solo adventure and buckle up because this looks like a wild ride.
The new trailer gives us a better look at the fun tone of the film, with a clear emphasis on jokes and humour. We see and hear a lot more of Alden Ehrenreich’s Han and compared to some of the previous teasers, we see some of the characters classic charm and humour emerge. It’s also fun to see that Han and Chewie’s friendship will be a major aspect of the film and from all angles, it looks like they’ve managed to capture the bond that makes Han and Chewie such good partners.
Of course, Donald Glover’s Lando makes an appearance, once again stealing any scene he’s a part of. His version of the famed smuggler seems effortlessly smooth and I don’t doubt that Lando will be the biggest highlight of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The trailer also delivers a first look at Paul Bettany’s gangster Dryden Vos and a few new shots of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s sassy droid L3-37.
Overall, this trailer did a great job of getting us excited for Solo: A Star Wars Story. At the very least, this looks like it will be a fun and different adventure in the Star Wars universe but we’ll need to wait until May to know for sure.
