Apparently, when Hans Zimmer retired from superhero movies, he just retired from DC superhero movies.
Zimmer, who composed Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, along with Man Of Steel and Batman v Superman claimed that he would no longer work on superhero movies, but it seems like X-Men: Dark Phoenix was enough to sway the composer out of retirement.
Speaking on a recent episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Evan Peters, who returns as Quicksilver for the latest X-Men movie, revealed that Hans Zimmer would score the project. This was apparently information that the actor wasn’t supposed to divulge so he might be in a spot of trouble with Fox.
This news would seem to suggest that Hans Zimmer likes what he’s seen of X-Men: Dark Phoenix since the composer previously stated that it would take a great idea to bring him back to the superhero genre.
