While Disney’s acquisition of Fox has given fans something they never expected, many of us are still wondering what it means for the X-Men franchise and the highly anticipated Deadpool spin-off, X-Force.
Thankfully, we don’t need to worry because according to Discussing Film, Drew Goddard is still attached to write and direct X-Force, which will see Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Cable (Josh Brolin) team up with other Marvel superheroes.
It’s not surprising to hear that the X-Force film is still moving forward. It will take approximately 18 months for the Disney/Fox deal to go through and even when the rights transfer to Disney, it would be surprising to see Marvel Studios let a franchise as lucrative as Deadpool slip away.
