After surprising the world and landing a role in DC Comics’ Shazam movie, Zachary Levi is finally opening up about the film and his excitement to deliver a different kind of superhero to the DC Extended Universe.
While appearing at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in San Jose, Levi briefly discussed the Shazam movie and shared his hope that the character and the franchise can become DC’s version of Guardians of the Galaxy, which obviously became a sensational hit for Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor also discusses his excitement to join the DC Extended Universe and the Justice League characters but is very aware that Billy Batson will offer a more comedic and fun tone, compared to Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and Henry Cavill’s Superman.
