After years of hyping the Avatar sequels, James Cameron has finally started production on the four sequels to his massively successful sci-fi film. It has also been revealed that while some members of the original cast will return, the focus of the sequels will be on a much younger set of characters, which you can get a first look at in the image below.
The young cast is mainly made up of unknown actors, who will portray Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri’s (Zoe Saldana) children. Jamie Flatters portrays Neteyam, the oldest child, while Britain Dalton plays second born Lo’ak and Trinity Bliss is the youngest child, Tuktirey. Three of the cast members portray members of the Metkayina clan, a group of reef people.
The four Avatar sequels will tell individual stories, which contribute to an over-reaching narrative. The first sequel is expected to land in theatres on December 18, 2020.
