‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Director Jon Watts In Talks To Return For The Sequel

According to reports, Jon Watts is currently in talks with Marvel and Sony to direct the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

With only low-budget films like Cop Car, it was a surprise to see that Marvel Studios and Sony hired Jon Watts to helm the Spider-Man reboot, but it was an even bigger surprise to learn that Watts wasn’t signed on for the sequel. Most fans (including myself) seem to agree that Spider-Man: Homecoming is possibly the best Spider-Man movie yet and thankfully, Marvel seems to agree. According to reports, Watts is currently in talks with the studios to direct the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, and although the deal hasn’t been made, it’s likely Watts will return for another instalment.

Not much is known about the scheduled Spider-Man sequel, other than the fact that Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker and personally, I want to see more of Ned (Jacob Batalon).
