Turns out Hugh Jackman wasn’t completely ready to hang up his claws. According to reports, Hugh Jackman, who famously portrayed Wolverine, will voice Scar in Jon Favreau’s live-action remake of The Lion King.
The report comes from Omega Underground, who revealed that someone close to the production claims Jackman has landed the villainous role. Hugh Jackman seemingly confirmed the news, posting an image on Twitter hinting that he is working on a Disney project.

Jon Favreau’s The Lion King stars Donald Glover as Simba, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumba, John Oliver as Zazu, and James Earl Jones returning to voice Mufasa. If the reports are true, Hugh Jackman is replacing Jeremy Irons as the voice of Scar.
