If you thought the Venom movie was already complicated, then things are about to get a whole lot worse. While promoting Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony producer Amy Pascal revealed that the Venom and Black & Silver movies will exist within the same universe as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and there are possibilities for crossovers.
See what Pascal said below:
Both movies will all take place in the world that we’re now creating for Peter Parker. I mean, they’ll be adjuncts to it, there may be different locations, but it will still all be in the same world and they will be connected to each other.
Pascal was then asked if there’s a chance Holland could appear as Spider-Man in one or both of those films, to which Pascal replied:
“There’s a chance… there’s always a chance.”
While it’s great to hear that there will be a connection between Venom and our new Spider-Man, this only makes things more complicated. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might exist in both the Marvel and Sony universes, but it’s still likely that Venom will never appear in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Personally, I can’t wait to see what Sony have planned for the Venom movie and hearing that Spider-Man might be included only makes everything more exciting.
