STX Entertainment has released the final trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, the new sci-fi epic from Lucy and The Fifth Element director Luc Besson. This trailer offers another great insight into the universe Besson has created and is as visually breathtaking as the previous trailers. Based on the beloved French comic Valérian and Laureline, the film stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne as intergalactic agents tasked with uncovering a threat and saving the city of a thousand planets.
There’s not a lot of new footage in this trailer, but the special effects have clearly improved and we are offered more story elements. Clearly, the visuals are what will get people into the cinema but I hope the storyline can match the visual spectacle.
