While fans of the superhero genre have grown accustomed to seeing an after credits scene, the DC Extended Universe movies won’t all feature an additional scene setting up the next movie. Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice didn’t feature an after credits scene while David Ayer decided to add an additional scene featuring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. Like many people, I was starting to wonder if we’ll see an after credits scene in Wonder Woman that sets up Justice League, but according to producer Charles Roven, there won’t be an additional scene.
I’m not going to say we’d never do one. … There was one in Suicide Squad. But I don’t think that we want to feel that we’re forced to do something just because we didn’t in the past.
Honestly, I’m surprised to hear that there won’t be an after credits scene for Wonder Woman. I understand that Warner Bros. might not want to copy what Marvel does but an additional scene to set up Justice League would be a great way to advertise the next DC Comics movie and build hype for the project. Are you surprised to hear that there won’t be an after credits scene in Wonder Woman? Let me know in the comments!
