It looks like the world of The Witcher is gonna get a whole lot bigger! According to IGN, Netflix is developing and producing a TV series based on The Witcher Saga. The series will be based on the eight books from author Andrzej Sapkowski, which also inspired the hit RPG game series.

Sapkowski will act as a consultant on the series and briefly discussed why he’s excited to work with Netflix. “I’m thrilled that Netflix will be doing an adaptation of my stories,” he explained in the official press release, “staying true to the source material and the themes that I have spent over thirty years writing.”

Sean Daniel and Jason Brown (The Expanse) will executive produce the series and discussed why Netflix is the perfect home for The Witcher“The Witcher stories follow an unconventional family that comes together to fight for truth in a dangerous world. The characters are original, funny and constantly surprising and we can’t wait to bring them to life at Netflix, the perfect home for innovative storytelling.”
