Warner Bros. is finally getting close to landing a director for The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller. The film has been without a director for a few months and has been on hold since Rick Famuyiwa walked away from the project. According to Variety, Warner Bros. is talking to a handful of directors but sources claim that Robert Zemeckis and Matthew Vaughn are the top choices to direct The Flash

The report makes it clear that neither of the directors have signed onto the project, with possible scheduling conflicts for both but it’s exciting to see the kind of talent Warner Bros. is looking at for The Flash. As for Ezra Miller, the actor is preparing to return in the Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them sequel so it’s not yet known when we’ll see The Flash movie.

The Flash will appear as a main character in Zack Snyder’s Justice League before heading into his solo movie. Be sure to let me know who you want to direct The Flash in the comments below!

Update: Reports also claim that Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi is in talks with Warner Bros. to direct The Flash, which is another great choice. Honestly, any of these three directors would probably do a phenomenal job with this character.
